Invitation to Participate in Research for 2SLGBTQ+ Persons and Parents of 2SLGBTQ+ Persons

We are reaching out to invite you to participate in a research study focused on understanding how various factors affect health and access to healthcare services among Sexual and Gender Diverse Communities (SDCs) in Oxford and Elgin Counties. 

Are you a parent of 2SLGBTQ+ Youth under 25 who resides in Oxford/ Elgin county

Are you eligible?
You may be eligible to participate if you:

– Identify as a parent of one or more youth (under 25) who identifies as 2SLGBTQIA+ and has lived in your household at any time since March 2020.

– Are 16 years or older.

– Reside in Oxford or Elgin Counties.

Why participate?
Your insights and experiences are invaluable in:

– Improving healthcare services for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

– Highlighting unique challenges faced by SDCs in the area.

– Contributing to meaningful change in health policy and practices.

Are you a person who identifies as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community of Oxford/Elgin County

We are seeking community members who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities and reside in Oxford or Elgin Counties to join a Community Advisory Group (CAG) for an exciting project focused on 2SLGBTQ+ health and wellness in our region. This project aims to understand the needs, challenges, and experiences of the 2SLGBTQ+ community through interviews and surveys, with the goal of improving health and social services. As a CAG member, you will play an important role in providing insights, guiding research, and ensuring community voices continue to be at the center of our work. We are looking for three individuals from each county (six total) who are passionate about community health, advocacy, and 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion.
